The Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, said during the joint press conference with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of the Republic of Indonesia that she will visit Indonesia in 2011 within the frameworks of enhancing the cooperation between the two countries. During the press conference conducted at the Federal Chancellor’s Office on 15 December 2009, the two leaders underlined their joint efforts to make the UNFCCC Summit on Climate Change on 17 – 18 December 2009 in Copenhagen a success.
THREE INDONESIAN STUDENTS HONOURED WITH PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

During a ceremony in Stuttgart on 09 November 2009, Daimler AG and the UNESCO awarded the “Mondialogo Engineering Award” to three Indonesian students in recognition of their outstanding performance. The initiative “Mondialogo Award” was initiated by Daimler AG and the UNESCO in 2003 as the largest forum in the world to promote cooperation and dialogue between cultures among technical students of the world.
