| A
CULINARY JOURNEY INTO THE ARCHIPELAGO
|
| Thursday,
21 February 2012 |
Indonesia,
the largest archipelagic country
of the world, consists of more
than 17.000 islands. The variety
of cultures anchored amid the
different ethnic groups with their
vast traditions and customs spread
among these islands makes it a
treasure trove for all those interested
in this unique country. The national
cultural identity of Indonesia
derives from this diversity which
yet unites the people and the
nation, indeed unique among the
countries of the world.
This fundamental constitution
is also a fertile ground for one
of the world's most coveted and
thriving culinary sceneries. The
Indonesian Embassy in Berlin,
in cooperation with the Ministry
of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia
and the Provincial Government
of West Sumatera, has the pleasure
to demonstrate to the Berliners
the art of fascinating Indonesian
Culinary Culture within the frameworks
of the "Indonesian Culinary
Festival 2012". |
